Incredible the things nature creates, like this Smoketree, which caught my eye during a visit to Maine over the summer. When I learned what its common name is, I smiled. Of course. What guides my lens is what I discover in-between. This tree, or Cotinus obovatus, was hiding in an alley way, a few blocks from the museum celebrating one of America's greatest artists, Andrew Wyeth. In other words, it was in good company.
