Contessa Willoughby

The Mysterious Disappearance of Contessa Willoughby is Book One of a middle-grade trilogy about a girl who learns the value of trees through a magical adventure across time.

I’ve drawn inspiration from classic middle grade literature (think: The Chronicles of Narnia, The Midnight Folk, Madeleine L’Engle’s “Time Quintet” series, and the eternal, Tarka the Otter.) Book One weaves in Welsh/Celtic myth. These are sketches I made— some more rough than others — to help me flesh out this world.
