On Blooming

Since 2014, I’ve been taking flower portraits and writing essays about flowers. I wanted to tie together my ancestries, but also celebrate the generative cycle that reveals itself through plants, especially flowers. Twelve of those images and essays appeared as part of Coucou Postale, a subscription postcard art series, but now I’ve edited — and in a few cases expanded the essays — for release as a photographic book (title TK) available later this spring.
